Fluffy French Toast with Caramalized Apples




An easy and fun recipe for french toast.

Yield: 8 slices

3 tbsp butter
4 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp Carolans Irish Cream
4 apples, peeled and diced
3  eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup Carolans Irish Cream
8 slices raisin bread




In a medium saucepan add butter, brown sugar, Carolans and apples. Cook on medium heat until the liquid has thickened slightly. Spread caramelized apples over bottom of buttered 13- x 9-inch (3L) baking dish.

In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and Carolans.  One by one, dip the bread slices into the egg mixture until they absorb the liquid and place them over the apples in a single layer.  Place the dish into a preheated 375F (190C) oven for 30 minutes or until egg mixture has cooked. 




Serve with apple side up and your favourite syrup
