Spring craft ideas for kids are a
great way to bring the family the kids or ... keep them occupied while
adults enjoy spring brunch.
Here are a few of my kids favourites, I'm sure yours will love too.
Ceramic Pot Painting
Simply purchase plain red terracotta mini pots in assorted sizes and
watercolour paints. Allow children to paint patterns on the pots, then
once they are dry spray with a glazing. The children can then fill them
with potting soil and their favourite spring bulb to eventually grow.
In the picture to the left, my two sons Colsen and Logan use washable
paints to decorate their own pots.
Bird Feeder
Use either a wooden shape (heart, star, etc…) or a whole wheat or
granola biscuit (in a neat shape). Attach a piece of twine to the back
of the shape with tape, so later it can be hung.
Spread a layer of peanut butter over the shape and then dip in bird
seed (or sprinkle bird seed onto the peanut butter covered shape).
Hang feeder in a tree outside the window for a nice spring treat.
